- Description:
IMC has been pre-selected as a member of a consortium for an EU funded project and is currently looking at completing the proposed team by 3 Junior Experts who will be permanently based in Brussels and will support senior key international experts in the delivery of the services. The objective of the project is to improve the quality of EC external assistance in terms of relevance, effectiveness, feasibility of EC financed projects and programmes. The expected results of the project are: improvement of general and sector/thematic guidance and related working tools; realisation of trainings on Aid Delivery Methods (ADM) responding to priority needs and demand; enhance the capacity of EuropeAid to produce work in the ADM areas and support quality improvements of EC financed projects. Target groups include all key actors directly involved in the design and implementation of projects and programmes financed by the EC external assistance, e. g. partner government representatives, EC staff working in third countries or at HQ, staff or experts working for projects/programmes financed by the EC assistance, other strategic stakeholders concerned by EC assistance (e.g. external donors interested by co-financing). Junior experts will be responsible for providing support in one of the three following areas: - Methodological support (design of ADM methodologies, tools for assessment in key areas, development of material (e.g. case studies, background etc.) - Training (delivery and design of conventional training - design and management of distance learning training - design and delivery of ad hoc activities - Innovative capacity building activities in public sector - Applicant Requirements:
- Academic degree (Economics or Science) - 5 years of professional experience in consultancy - Experience of work with European Commission co-operation instruments (EDF, ...) - Very good organisation skills - Capacity to work independently - Capacity to conceive methodological notes or guidance material for training - Project management experience in EU environment - Very good English and French or Spanish or Portuguese - Application instructions:
