Position: Deputy Team Leader Project: Vanuatu Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector Strengthening Program - Phase 2 Location: Provincial capital to be determined, Vanuatu Assignment Starts: May 2008 Applications Close: 18 April 2008 Duration: 2 years Advertised By: GRM International Australia GRM International Pty Ltd (GRM) is seeking applications from highly qualified candidates with current or recent experience in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for the following position: - Deputy Team Leader The position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with local counterparts in Vanuatu to strengthen the national training system with the objective of increasing employment and income levels, particularly in rural areas. Phase 1 commenced in November 2005 and concluded at the end of 2007. Phase 2 of the Program is expected to commence in May 2008. The objective of the Program is to raise income and employment levels, particularly in rural communities, through supporting the provision of skills that respond to the needs of the productive sectors. Implementation of the Phase 2 Program will be guided by an innovative and flexible design and will include the management of an Employment and Training Fund and Business Development Services. GRM is the International Service Provider engaged by AusAID to manage the Vanuatu TVET Sector Strengthening Program. - Applicant Requirements:
