PSI seeks an energetic and talented Recruiter/HR Generalist to identify candidates for PSI. The Recruiter/HR Generalist plays a key role in maintaining our dynamic office environment, participating in the People Department team and expanding our global pool of talent, thereby supporting PSI program impact worldwide. This position is based in Washington, D.C., salary range of $45-54K commensurate with experience, and reports to the Recruitment and HR Managers. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Recruiter/HR Generalist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of all headquarters based staff (accountants, procurers, grant writers, etc.), program staff, and some international staff. The Recruiter/HR Generalist will also be responsible for certain human resource functions. Duties include but are not limited to: Recruitment: - Full cycle recruitment including screening resumes, conducting interviews and reference/background checks; - Writing and updating job descriptions; - Making employment offers and negotiating salaries; - Representing PSI at career fairs and seminars; - Working with the People Department to define recruitment objectives and strategies, enhance organization-wide initiatives for talent retention, diversity, and professional development opportunities. Human Resources: - Distributing and analyzing internal surveys and turnover data; - Compiling HRIS reports as needed; - Conducting new employee orientations; - Conducting exit interviews; - Processing employment visas; and - Counseling employees and managers as needed on performance, grievances and/or other issues. - Applicant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; - 2+ years Recruitment experience; - Expertise in EEOC regulations and other legal compliance issues; - Demonstrated Human Resources experience to include legal compliance; PHR preferred; - Advanced computer knowledge (MS Office applications, including Word and Excel); - Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; - Sound judgment and professional demeanor; - Strong writing and editing skills; - Must exhibit flexibility and grace under pressure, demonstrated ability to produce results, and ability to prioritize and perform a variety of tasks on short notice within demanding deadlines. Preference will be given to candidates with recruitment experience in an international organization; fluency in French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Russian; and international work or study experience. - Application instructions:
