Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) is seeking to employ an Outreach and Mobilisation Coordinator. Reporting directly to the GCAP Campaign Manager, and liaising closely with other Campaign staff, the GCAP Outreach/Mobilisation Coordinator is responsible for driving GCAP mobilisation, supporting the mobilisation of current GCAP members and reaching out to potential new members. - Applicant Requirements:
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks: * Drive GCAP mobilisation strategy that will put significant pressure on decision makers at national and international level and empower millions of people to make their voices heard * Facilitate mobilization task force and all the other related groups and sub-groups. * Help IFT support team in formulating appropriate mobilization plans, strategies and actions in coordination with task groups, regions and constituency groups. * Create an outreach plan and co-ordinate with IFT members to implement it * Create mobilization and outreach tools and ensure they are translated and widely disseminated; * Work closely with the E-Communications and Media Teams to ensure an integrated campaign strategy * Help in building strong linkages and partnership with other global, regional and constituency based groups, movements, networks and coalitions on GCAP campaign objectives * Liaise with key partners of GCAP and collaborate on join mobilization plans and strategies * Other duties as assigned by Campaign Manager. Experience, Skills and Competencies Required: * Background in outreach, mobilization, campaigning and / or membership; * Excellent planning, organizational and inter-personal skills; * Excellent attention to detail even under significant time-pressure; * Highly proficient in English; * A flexible team-player; * Able to work in a multi-cultural environment; * Familiar with MS Office applications. Desirable: * Proficiency in additional languages (especially other UN languages, as well as Portuguese) * Experience in, or knowledge of, the non-profit / volunteer sector and / or civil society movements, preferable in the countries of the Global South. - Application instructions:
