- Description:
You will be responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for the achievement of effective and efficient management of development programmes, relationships with partner organisations and volunteer placement activities in VSA's Asia country programmes. In addition as a member of the Management Team, you will also contribute to strategic thinking, analysis and planning for the whole organisation. - Applicant Requirements:
Person profile - Tertiary qualification in development studies or a similar discipline, or significant relevant experience - Experience of working in a developing country, preferably in Asia. - Proven management ability, including planning, staff management and administrative experience - An understanding of the political, social, cultural and economic issues in Asia, particularly in South-East Asia - Experience in financial management and budgetary control - Knowledge of research methods, and monitoring and evaluation approaches - Previous experience with either a non-governmental organisation or in a community development role. - Application instructions:
