- Description:
Work as member of accounting team to support over 170 international development projects and microfinance entities in over 30 countries as well as headquarters' accounting needs. Prepares and generates billing for contracts; Identify billing issues and coordinate with Field offices to resolve; Reconciles year to date and life of contract billing; Prepares entries to record contract billing in accounting system; Follows up on outstanding receivables for contracts; Prepares and reconciles journal entries for payroll-related GL Accounts and all other accounting items related to payroll matters; Responds to/resolves payroll questions and discrepancies and delivers quality customer service; Responsible for generating regular payroll reports, and for creating/generating custom reports as required by Finance and Human Resources; Reconciliation of 941s; Assists payroll coordinator in process of obtaining information for payroll production and tax related issues; Acts as backup for payroll specialist. Minimum of three years related experience, including at least three years hands on payroll experience using ADP and experience managing multiple payroll - related projects; Solid knowledge or experience with ADP software (ReportSmith or ADP Reporting, PayExpert or PCPW, and eTime), HRIS, Solomon or similar accounting package; MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) FRx Report Writer required; Ability to create and generate payroll and accounting reports using ADP software and Excel required; Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws; Ability to read contracts and comply with billing requirements required, general knowledge of contracts a plus; Strong consultative, analytical, and project management skills required; Demonstrated ability to work diverse individuals internal and external to the organization at all levels with exceptional customer service skills; Ability to perform and complete a variety of complex and detail-oriented duties in a demanding, deadline driven, fast paced environment; Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to work well independently and in a team environment; Must be extremely organized and detail oriented; Able to sit at a computer and operate a keyboard, for extended periods of time; Ability to work non-standard hours as necessary; Able to read and interpret documents, and communicate with others as necessary to perform job duties effectively. English fluency required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent work experience required; CPA preferred. - Application instructions:
