As well as providing relief in emergency situations, we work on long-term development projects with local communities to address the causes of poverty and help them become self-sufficient. Our mission is to engage Australians in the effort to eliminate poverty and its causes. Our Australia Program team is seeking a Project Manager to Lead and Manage a project design team that will focus on the implementation of an Early Childhood Program. The program will be implemented in partnership with the Warlpiri communities, partner agencies and the Warlpiri Education and Training Trust. The responsibilities will include: -Project development of an Early Childhood program, monitoring and implementation -Management of a remote team -Networking and relationship building -Facilitate communication between all relevant stakeholders -Identification of local funding opportunities -Submission of project reports in line with quarterly monitoring requirements The following qualities will make you an ideal candidate: -Experience in project management & leadership in a cross cultural context -Relevant qualifications in community development studies, Early Childhood or Education -Understanding of program formulation and development with emphasis on Early Childhood management. -Experience in remote Australia or international context would be an advantage -A demonstrable understanding of local government, systems and processes -An ability to communicate at all levels To obtain information about our Core Values and to obtain a copy of the full Position Description, visit the employment page of our website: www.worldvision.com.au Applications close: Thursday 22nd May 2008 - Application instructions:
