Volunteer in India: Assist Self Help Groups (SHG), microfinance in rural villages of Uttaranchal Project Highlight: You will be required to work closely with the SHGs groups which are formed not only for the promotion of livelihood through credit based activities which are community generated resources and similar to microfinance but also for working as pressure groups that keep a check on the activities and functioning of local bodies. These SHGs have successfully acted as an instruments of socio, economic and political change in the region generating and using community funds. If you are serious about bringing a positive change in their lives and dedicate your time to be a part of the change you want to see in this world come forward and get involved. Project Location: 100 remote villages in the Tehri, Uttarkashi and Jaunsar region of the Garhwal hills in Uttaranchal City / Village: Dehradun with projects in 100 remote villages in the Tehri, Uttarkashi and Jaunsar region of the Garhwal hills in Uttaranchal State: Uttaranchal Pin code: 248001 Project Duration: On-going Project start date: Ongoing Language Preference: English and Hindi Qualification: Graduate/Post Graduate Attributes/Qualities Required: Willing to learn, enthusiastic, self-critical Period of Volunteering opportunity: One month to One Year Age Range: Above 18.
