2008: The Year in Asia - Wellington

Wednesday 05 November 2008. Following the Asia:NZ Foreign Policy in Asia media seminar in Auckland, a number of presenters will travel to Wellington to participate in a roundtable discussion organised by Asia:NZ and the Asian Studies Institute at Victoria University. The speakers - prominent journalists and analysts based in Asia - will look at key events that have occurred in 2008 in their particular areas of coverage, and discuss how these events were handled in the media as well as what they portend for the future.

Shades of Burma Exhibition - 11-20 November 2008

An exhibition presented by Children on the Edge featuring the work of Saw Kennedy, a Refugee forced to flee Burma after facing oppression and persecution at the hands of the brutal Burmese military regime. The work depicts his peoples story, their struggle, their fear, their courage, their hope, their dreams and their fighting spirit. What's On at the Council for International Development

CID is the umbrella organisation for Aotearoa New Zealand development NGOs.
