Asia Pacific Philanthropy Information Network

Canadian Council for International Cooperation

The Canadian Council for International Co-operation (CCIC) is a coalition of about 100 Canadian organizations who seek to change the course of human development in ways that favor social and economic equity, democratic participation, environmental integrity and respect for human rights. Integrated Regional Information Networks (IRIN)

The Integrated Regional Information Networks (IRIN), part of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). IRIN, which was born out of the 1994 crisis in the Great Lakes region of central Africa, pioneered the use of e-mail and web technology to deliver and receive information to and from some of the most remote and underdeveloped places in Africa, cheaply and efficiently. Its reporting focuses on strengthening universal access to timely, strategic and non-partisan information so as to enhance the capacity of the humanitarian community to understand, respond to and avert emergencies.

Kubatana

The Kubatana Trust of Zimbabwe, incorporating the NGO Network Alliance Project (NNAP), aims to strengthen the use of email and internet strategies in Zimbabwean NGOs and civil society organisations. Kubatana will make human rights and civic education information accessible to the general public from a centralised, electronic source. Immediate objectives of the project are to: Develop a central Zimbabwean development and human rights portal: the portal will contain editorial material highlighting the work of the organisations hosted on the portal - kubatana means "working together"; Develop an electronic fact sheet for each organisation hosted on the portal; Develop an e-activism page for on-line campaigns; Link existing Zimbabwean NGO and civil society web sites to the portal; Advertise the portal widely: locally, regionally and globally.

Novib was set up in 1956 as the Netherlands Organisation for International Development Co-operation. With over forty years of experience and with thousands of projects in the Third World, Novib has evolved a way of working that we call the 'Novib Method'. Injustice, inequality and poverty are very prevalent across the world.
