Canada at the WSSD - National Report

Sustainable Development: A Canadian Perspective was commissioned by the Government of Canada as part of Canada's preparations for the Summit. The report involved collecting the views on accomplishments and challenges from the different segments of society to provide a perspective on Canada's progress towards sustainable development over the past decade. The report highlights some of Canada's considerable successes, speaks of some of the remaining challenges and explores some of the current efforts underway to meet those challenges.

Nepal Country Profile 2001 : World Summit on Sustainable Development

Nepal, after the participation of historic UN Conference on Environment and Development held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992, has implemented different environment and development activities adopting the Agenda 21 proclaimed in the Earth Summit. The Government of Nepal has been implementing the Sustainable Community Development Programme (SCDP) with the support of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) since 1996 with the integrated workable objective of socio- economic development and environmental management. The government has been engaged in the preparation of World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) Country Profile in 2001.

Working for a Sustainable World: USAID Report

The Full Report provides a comprehensive account of over 400+ sustainable development initiatives by the US Government. The Report includes numerous case studies and in depth findings from a recent self-reported survey of nearly 20 Federal Departments and Agencies. All survey responses are included on the CD-ROM in the Compendium of USG Initiatives. A Summary Report is also available.
