Department for International Development (DfID) Business Opportunities  pop

All UK development assistance has been fully untied, and DFID now buys goods and services from a global market. In line with EU Procurement Directives, DFID is required to advertise all UK-let activities expected to exceed the current threshold of £93,869 by placing a Contract Notice in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities (OJEC). Exceptions to these requirements include emergency relief and legal projects.

Contractor performance in context (AusAID)

Contractor performance is important. It directly affects the impact and quality of the aid program. And it materially affects how AusAID staff spend their time. There are numerous ways AusAID can influence contractor performance. Having competitive bids from as wide a range of competent contractors is one way. Having good selection procedures and TAPS is another. Good debriefing of TAPS is a third, especially if it helps unsuccessful bidders to improve their bids. Having sound contracts is important. And, of course, sound management of contracts by desks, and careful monitoring of activities at Posts and by TAGS is also important.

EPSA-ECP

Our Company Experts + Projects S.A. (Costa Rica) provides consulting and project support services since 1991 to clients in Europe, Australia, USA and for development projects in Latin America. Recently our company has developed a new range of services in order to promote international consultants. For EPSA, our own company, we are searching the Internet and additional sources (EU -delegations, regional and country offices of the WB group, development projects, regional and international Development Organizations, NGO's, etc.) for international consulting assignment opportunities of the development sector. Since many opportunities are not appropriate for the use through EPSA but are suitable for individual consultants we decided to broaden our services and to implement a personalized information service covering all fields of development and geographical regions (ECP).
