Centre for Development Studies

The Centre for Development Studies at the University of the South Pacific (USP)was established by University Council in 1997. It serves as a focus for School of Social and Economic Development(SSED) research, consultancy, publishing and community liaison activities concerning development. The Postgraduate Programme in Development Studies is part of CDS.

ICT R&D Grants Programme

The ICT R&D Grants Programme has the objective of building institutional research capacity in the developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region, in the area of Internet networking. It is directed at encouraging original and innovative networking solutions to specific development problems.

Marie Stopes International Study Tours

Participation in an MSIA study tour provides delegates with direct experience of and exposure to reproductive health initiatives in a foreign country. The study tour provides a forum for fostering and exchanging learning opportunities; provides participants with valuable insights into key players in the reproductive health care field; and facilitates cultural exchange. Delegates are able to meet with respected health professionals, visit clinical and educational service providers and learn about alternative service delivery models. MSIA has strong working relationships with many organisations in the region and has the capacity to organise and host study tours in Australia; New Zealand; Southern Africa; India and South East Asia.

Taiwan/ROC-Pacific Islands Forum Scholarship Scheme

Citizens of Forum island countries who intend to commence post-graduate studies are invited to apply for scholarships under the scheme. Scholarships are awarded for studies in courses at institutions in Forum island countries

The University of the South Pacific (USP)

The University of the South Pacific (USP) is a tertiary education provider in the Pacific Region, and an international centre of excellence for teaching and research on all aspects of Pacific culture and environment. A strong distance education programme, delivers academic courses to almost half of USP's total student body throughout the 12 Member Countries, supported by University Centres. Other students study face to face full or part-time at the University's three major campuses at Fiji, Vanuatu and Samoa.

Unitec - Graduate Diploma in Not-For-Profit Management

The Graduate Diploma in Not-For-Profit Management is designed for managers and co-ordinators of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations, team leaders, volunteers and board members. It helps managers and their organisations to be more effective. This is a professional qualification that directly addresses the complexity of working in a NFP organisation. It highlights the differences between managing in the NFP sector and a business or government department. This programme is offered at a variety of locations througout New Zealand and the Pacific.
