ALAC's primary objective is: The promotion of moderation in the use of alcohol, and the development and promotion of strategies which will reduce alcohol-related problems for the nation. To help achieve these goals, ALAC encourages and invites applications for scholarships and grants from people working and studying in the New Zealand alcohol field. Areas of interest can cover such things as health promotion, prevention, treatment or research. ALAC regards the continuous upgrading of knowledge and skills among health workers as an important part of its mission.
