IIRR is a global organization working with the rural poor in the Global South. We work to improve the lives of the rural poor by building on their unique assets and strengths. Our training courses cover a wide range of development issues and themes that promote participatory, people-centered approaches to rural development. Courses are designed around relevant themes including rural development management; community health and nutrition; sustainable agriculture/aquaculture; community based environment, watershed and natural resource management; organizational capacity development; participatory action research; participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation; gender mainstreaming; designing development training programs; and farmer-led research & extension.
