-
The International Relations Center is working to make the U.S. a more responsible member of the global community by promoting progressive strategic dialogues that lead to new citizen-based agendas. Through our two key programs, Global Affairs and Americas Program, the IRC provides independent, well-researched analysis of U.S. foreign policy, rooted in progressive values, with an emphasis on fostering strategic dialogue among academics, grassroots advocacy organizations, and policymakers. A "virtual think tank," our global partners develop policy briefs, special reports, talking points, commentaries, and other publications, most of which are widely disseminated for free to constituents around the globe.

- Americas Program
-
This website is maintained by the Americas Program of the Interhemispheric Resource Center (IRC). Founded in 1979, the IRC is a small but dynamic nonprofit policy studies center whose overarching goal is to help forge a new global affairs agenda for the U.S. government and people-one that makes the United States a more responsible global leader and partner. The primary way we do this is by producing policy reports, issue briefs, political commentary, and popular education materials offering essential information and credible, forward looking policy analysis. Through these materials, the IRC seeks to educate policymakers, influence public debates regarding the U.S. role in global affairs, change public opinion, inform activists, and foster strategic dialogue among progressives across the globe on key issues like economic globalization, sustainable development, and peace and security.
