- War on Want
-
War on Want fights international poverty by working directly with poor people across the developing world - from the sweatshop factories in Bangladesh, to the forests of Brazil. Furthermore, we campaign in the UK, for a better deal for the world's poor and for a better future for themselves and their children. For 50 years War on Want has fought the root causes of global poverty. We lead the way in many campaigns such as those against currency speculation and the appalling working conditions in the developing world. By funding projects in some of the poorest countries, we're providing vital help to people like the women and children living off the rubbish tips in Bombay. We also support, for example, self help groups, co-operatives, trade unions and other groups of people who are working together to build a better future for themselves and their children. Phone for information or see our website.
