- Disarmament and Security Centre

Established in 1998, the Disarmament and Security Centre (DSC) is a specialist arm of the Peace Foundation coordinated by Kate Dewes and Rob Green. The broad objective of the DSC is to provide a resource centre for alternative thinking on disarmament and security issues, both within Aotearoa/New Zealand and internationally. Currently the work focusses on promoting the World Court's 1996 Advisory Opinion on nuclear weapons and its implications; and, as members of the International Steering Committee of the Middle Powers Initiative, working with a new network of leading international citizen organisations in partnership with a coalition of middle-power governments to expedite nuclear disarmament.

The Peace Foundation offers innovative and reliable programmes and resources that are used in many New Zealand schools, homes and communities. They help establish and maintain peaceful and non-violent relationships by teaching skills that encourage better communication, anger management, co-operation and conflict resolution. They are playing a part in the campaign to improve New Zealand parenting skills in order to protect children from harm.The Peace Foundation also arranges other public events such as The Media Peace Awards. These awards recognise those who are actively contributing towards reducing violence in our society. The Peace Foundation are involved in other expos and conferences both nationally and internationally.

The Council for International Development (CID) was formed in 1985 by a small group of aid and development agencies which identified the need to coordinate some activities and present a single voice on issues of common concern. Today CID has 50 members encompassing most of New Zealand's major Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs). CID works to achieve effective high quality international development programmes which focus on the alleviation and eradication of poverty and works to enhance the capacity and participation of member agencies, the NZ Government and other sectors of the NZ community.
