Community Development Library 2.1

This Community Development Library 2.1 contains 1785 publications (160,000 pages) in various areas of community development. The final objective of this cooperative project is to provide those involved in the areas of development and basic needs with access to a free of low-cost CD-ROM library of approximately 3000 books containing mostly multidisciplinary insights and solutions they need. DevInfo

DevInfo operates both as a desktop application and on the web, delivering significant enhancements for easy access to information on human development. The system has been developed under UN partnership and is distributed royalty-free to all end users. Now national statistics offices, UN agencies, donors, NGOs and civil society can prepare reports and presentations using this common database platform. The system has been endorsed by the UN Development Group and is being used in many countries to help track the Millennium Development Goals and other national priorities. The system organizes data by indicators, time periods and geographic areas with extensive metadata based on international standards.

Food and Nutrition Library 2.2

This library FNL 2.2 contains 600+ publications (54,000) in the fields of food, nutrition, food processing, food policy and nutrition research. The objective of this cooperative project is to provide those involved in the areas of food, nutrition and food policy access to a comprehensive CD-ROM library containing multidisciplinary insight about solutions to problems facing the poor.
