Kurds Stuck in No-Man's Land

In this article the journalist visits Ruweishid refugee camp, a small stretch of desert, sandwiched between the borders of Jordan and Iraq, is a "no-man's land", created by the Iraqi government's decision to cede part of its western frontier to Jordan. Assyrians Face Escalating Abuses in "New Iraq"

The Assyrian Christian population of Iraq, historically traceable to the Mesopotamian cradle of civilisation, has increasingly become the target of both ethnic and religious attacks since the U.S.-led invasion and the overthrow of the Saddam Hussein regime in 2003. This article reports on patrons and human rights defenders, who say that if the world doesn't wake up to the plight of this people, they will soon be shoved through the door of extinction.
